DOES THIS FIN SYSTEM WORK WITH FCS OR FUTURES?
No, this fin system is new and unique.
IS THIS FIN SYSTEM AVAILABLE TO ALL SURFBOARD MANUFACTURERS.
Not at this time, but we have created a seamless installation process guided by current industry standards when that time comes.
WHAT IF I DON’T WANT MY FINS TO PIVOT AT ALL?
You can lock your fins into the zero degree position.
CAN YOU REALLY FEEL A DIFFERENCE BETWEEN SETTINGS?
Absolutely, it’s like changing boards between waves.
IF I HIT SOMETHING, WILL MY FINS FALL OUT?
No, but surfboards and fin systems are not meant to hit anything.
WHY WOULD I WANT THIS SURFBOARD?
No other board in the world has the built in option to change turning radius like this board.
WHY WOULD I WANT MY FINS TO PIVOT?
To release drag and change your turning radius.
WOULD THIS FIN SYSTEM WORK ON A LONGBOARD OR SUP?
Yes this fin system will work for a long board or SUP, however, we are focusing on high performance short boards.
WHAT ARE THE DOWNSIDES OF THIS SURFBOARD AND FIN SYSTEM?
There are no downsides; this fin system makes this the most advanced surfboard in the world today.
WHAT IS SO IMPORTANT ABOUT THE FINS BEING SPRING-LOADED?
When you go into a turn, the fins load up (pivot to your pre determined stop position). When you come out of the turn, the fins unload and provide thrust, like swim fins.
DO I HAVE TO SURF THIS BOARD DIFFERENTLY?
No, however you will start to feel the fins working for you. It will change how you surf and you will never go back to fixed fins!
WHAT IS THE WORST THING ABOUT HAVING A 0NE80 SURFBOARD?
It will render the rest of your quiver obsolete.
DO YOU HAVE OTHER FIN TEMPLATES?
At this point we are barley scratching the surface of what is possible with this fin system so we had to start with one template. We possess a size-able catalog of templates to pursue in the near future.
WHAT ARE THE ADVANTAGES OF USING A PIVOTING FIN SYSTEM?
Versus changing boards for different conditions, you are able to stay familiar with your main board that can be adjusted to accommodate most all wave conditions. Also, because we use zero toe angle on all fins (all other fin setups use “toe-in” side fins), ONE80 system allows for faster straight line speeds, there is no drag from “toe-in” outside fins.
HOW DO I SELECT WHICH SETTINGS TO USE?
For 1 to 4-foot surf, we recommend selecting more pivot ability (6 to 12 degrees of pivot). For the bigger, more powerful waves, you don’t need as much fin movement, You would select the 0 degrees of pivot so the fins are fixed, stiff, like a big wave gun.
HOW DO I ADJUST MY SETTINGS?
Settings can be performed on-shore or in-water by simply placing your finger on the fin plug button, press down and slide the button to desired position. You will feel a slight “click” when it drops into position.
